Operation We R Grateful

We R Memory Keepers has joined forces with Operation Write Home to form OPERATION WE R GRATEFUL.

Operation We R Grateful is an effort to give back to our nation's servicemen and women. They are collecting blank, homemade cards to send to deployed troops so that the troops can write home.

Beach Scrapbooks is proud to be a drop zone for these cards.

We invite you to make one or more cards and simply drop them off to us by July 29th. We'll take care of mailing them to We R Memory Keepers, who will then ensure that the cards reach the troops.

Want to have an Operation We R Grateful card making party? Use our crop room and invite your friends! Our crop room is free to use anytime there is not a class or crop scheduled.

Weekend schedule

Wooo! We've got LOTS going on this weekend :)

First and foremost - we're cropping until midnight tonight with Mr. Unibind himself, Ken Oliver! Ken's flying in from Atlanta later this afternoon and coming straight to the store. As the Black Eyed Peas sing..."tonight's gonna be a good night!"

Whether or not your cropping, you should at least stop by, say hi and treat yourself to some Twisted Sisters Cupcakes this evening. They will be parked outside the store from 6-8 for a cupcake happy hour!











Then...on Saturday morning, Ken will be hosting a FREE make-n-take using Talking Paper by dinotalk. Come join us starting at 10 a.m. and make a card! *Limited to the first 24 customers.









At noon on Saturday, Ken will teach The $10 Unibind Class. In this class, you'll complete a binded 8x8 album using paper from the American Crafts Margarita collection. Using the Unibind Photobook Creator, you'll bind your book and leave with an album that's READY for all your summer pictures. A GREAT value for $10! Only a few seats are left, so call now to register :)



Sunday is an OPEN crop day, so grab your friends, your kids, your husband - WHOEVER! - and come crop for free from 12 - 5.

Boardwalk Art Show...THIS weekend!

BRAS for the CAUSE!

First, a HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in Scrap Pink, donated a bra and/or voted for their favorite bra! We've had LOTS of comments on the bras...especially from the men who come in with their wives :)

Before the winner is announced, I wanted to show off our beautiful new t-shirts. They were designed by our staff, and a portion of the proceeds goes towards our Scrap Pink donation. We've got all sizes in stock from S to 3X. If you're walking/running the Race for the Cure this weekend, it would be a great shirt to wear :) Only $15.

Without futher adieu, let's announce the winner for BRAS for the CAUSE...CARMELLA!!! Woo hoo!! Beautiful swans :) Carmella, come on in and pick up your HOT new pink Bo-Bunny bag!

And, for those who voted, you know there were some pretty SWEET bras on display. I've included them here for all to see!

The bra above is from Alex, who lives in Northern Virginia (some of you may remember her from our Beach Retreat last year). She actually sewed this bra, and it is simply amazing. I didn't get the best picture, but it reads "Lift up your spirits." GREAT job, Alex, and thanks for sending it in!

The next bra probably received the most laughs out of them all...it's the 'Over-The-Shoulder-Boulder-Holder' by Mary. You may not be able to see it in the pictures, but it's covered with little rocks. HOWEVER, someone commented that it reminded them of a nutty buddy. Now, whenever I walk by the Boulder-Holder, I develop a sudden urge to eat ice cream!!

Decorated in Halloween colors, the next bra is by the oh-so-adorable Lauren. Can you guess the title? It's 'Boo-bees'...get it?!? LOVE it!

And, the bra that traveled the furthest, is from Jennifer in Key West. It sports two Matchbox cars and is appropriately titled 'Boy Toys'. Awesome!

It's been a GREAT week! We've worked really hard to find new and exciting products to bring home. You haven't seen many samples on here because we'll be showing you lots on Sunday. (Remember...CHA Overview is at 1 p.m., the QuicKutz raffle drawing is at 2 p.m.)

Last night, we were able to enjoy a whole 4 hours of Disney. Can you believe that Susan and Courtney have NEVER been to a Disney park?!? Obviously, we didn't get to do much, but we were able to see Mickey and ride a few rides. We are exhausted, our muscles ache from walking the show floor and we have totally tested our suitcase limits (with some great giveaways!). But, we had such a blast...it was a GREAT show, and we can't wait to share our ideas and new products with you!!

We're off to the airport...won't be home until midnight. So, don't call too early in the morning :) See you on Sunday!

Need a good laugh?!?

What a great day we had yesterday during our Crop Scene Investigation...LOTS of make-n-takes, giveaways and good clean fun (has anyone seen my tiny paper gun?!?). Since we always take pictures of people smiling, we wanted something different for our CSI album. We wanted mug shot faces. Mean, angry, drunk - whatever. The rule was that you could NOT smile. Some people had a tough time b/c for some reason, mug shot faces make you LAUGH! But, we were successful in getting some really great mug shots! Check it out...
