National Scrapbook Day Crop

We've had several customers asking...waiting...emailing...calling about our National Scrapbook Day (NSD) events.

I'm here to tell you about the first announcement. (clap, clap, clap, clap)

And, yes, there are still seats available. BUT, we expect to fill up fast.

10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
$10
We'll provide Paninis, chips and a drink for lunch.
You are encouraged to bring a snack/side dish/dessert to share (totally optional, of course).

Even if you're not cropping, we have some really exciting plans for NSD...so stay tuned for details!

Meet my friend Rachel. She's an art teacher for both middle and elementary schools, and, thanks to a grant by the Virginia Beach Education Foundation, she's making a difference.

Rachel collects gently used sheets and pillowcases, does a little sewing, teaches her students how to get creative with atypical recycled materials and makes these fabulous dresses for women and girls in Africa.

If you'd like to donate any sheets and/or pillowcases, just throw them in a bag and drop them off at Beach Scrapbooks. Rachel will do the rest :)

CUTE little charms...

Funny story about this one...I was entering these in our computer system. Well, it only gives you a certain about of space for the description. I wanted to put in "Accoutrements Buttons" but it would only let me enter "Accoutrements Butt". It's the silly things in life that make me laugh sometimes :) I will say, though, these Accoutrements (Butts) look much better in person than they do on this computer screen.

Things that make us HAPPY!

We obtained a secret stash of these tape runners! They were repackaged by Elmer's (as shown below)...BUT...they are the SAME tape runner. In fact, on the back of the packaging, it even says Kokuyo!
