Hump Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day

Do you keep losing track of the days? With all the holidays, I can't figure out whether it's a Monday or a Friday!

Tomorrow is Wednesday and that means it's Hump Day. Since we'll be closing early, we won't have our usual Hump Day Happy Hour. HOWEVER...we will have new, $5 kits available starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday!

Wednesday is also New Year's Eve - we'll be open until 4 p.m. so please plan accordingly.

Also, remember that we are open for a FREE crop on January 1st. The last time I looked at the list, I think we were up to 11 people. If you'd like to join us, give us a call! It's totally free and a wonderful way to start 2009!

QuicKutz arriving on Friday!

The UPS man is scheduled to deliver our Elegant Essentials on Friday! Woo hoo!

There are already several "reservations" in the book for these dies. If you want to reserve one or more of the shapes, please call the store ASAP!

Also, stay tuned for the next QuicKutz release on Tuesday, January 6th. (I know, it seems very close, but remember that Elegant Essentials was held up in customs.)

Christmas Eve Hump Day

We will be closing early on Christmas Eve. Our hours will be 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.



Having said that, there will be NO Happy Hour Hump Day. However...we have put together a FABULOUS kit for you to take home :) And, it's still only $5!

There's a limited supply of kits available, so come in early to make sure you get yours. They will be available when we open at 10 a.m., and when they're gone...they're gone!

I'm feelin' some Chemistry...

A new Valentine inspired line from Cosmo Cricket! What we like about this line is that it's not just for February 14th. It's for all the loves in your life...kids, family, dogs, friends, sunshine, cookies...ANYthing that you hold near and dear to your heart :)

And, we've restocked a couple of the Blackboard mini albums. They are just like chipboard...except black. This means you don't have to cover them with paper or paint - thus saving you sweet, precious time!

We'd like to introduce you to a new vendor...Ta Da Creative Studios! This collection, Twinkly Tidings, is absolutely beautiful. It's much nicer in person than on this blog...it's got a very slight, elegant shimmer to it AND it's double sided. Also, there are 2 die cut cardstock sheets that nicely compliment the paper.

QuicKutz new release - Elegant Essentials

Introducing a new, sophisticate release by QuicKutz...ELEGANT ESSENTIALS!

This release consists of:

2 Border dies
4 2x2 dies
8 4x4 dies
1 4x8 Alphabet

These dies were held up in customs (trying to enter the United States) and are expected to ship out of Utah in the next couple days. Having said that, they should arrive in our store next week. As soon as we have a firm arrival date, we will post it on the blog.

We have samples (all except the border dies) posted in the store so that you can see what they look like in person!

Cutest Bag Ever!

So many of you have seen these cute little paper bags on display in our store and asked for directions. Here ya go...enjoy!

Cutest Bag Ever! Instructions

-Use a piece of paper 12” x 6”.
-Score at 1”, 2 ½”, 6 ½” & 8” then score at 1” on top and bottom.
-On left side, cut out the two corners created by the 1” scores.
cut out darts where indicated.
-Use a Bone Folder to make the folds crisp. Fold and adhere the top tabs inside the bag.
-Add sticky strip to outside 1” side panel and adhere. Fold bottom flaps and adhere together.
-Punch 2 large eyelet holes, equally spaced on each side of the bag, using Cropadile.
-Select cute coordinating ribbon and string through.

Notes: the Scor-Pal works GREAT when making these bags! Also, the reindeer was cut out from the Jingle CD on the Silhouette.

We cut it out with the Silhouette, using the red vinyl from the Holly Gift Set! Soooo incredibly easy, yet so elegant. (The snowflakes you see hanging in the window were also cut out using the Silhouette.)
