Problem with DoubleTree Hotel reservations

If you need a hotel room for the Beach Retreat, please read the following:

One of our staff called today to make her reservation and was told that our room block has been filled. The hotel also said they could not honor the group rate, but they could give her a room at a higher rate.

If this happens to you, please go ahead and MAKE THE RESERVATION anyway.

This information is incorrect, but we can't do anything about it until Tuesday (everyone left early today because it is a holiday weekend!).

Here's what to do:

1. Make the reservation at the rate they assign you (even though it is higher than our advertised group rate).
2. Email jen@beachscrapbooks.com and let her know you've made the reservation and the name the room is under.
3. I will contact the reservations manager on Tuesday and have her switch the price to the correct group rate.
4. Please note that your credit card does not get charged until that weekend, so there will not be a charge for reserving the room.
