Beach Scrapbooks is proud to announce that local celebrity Nicole Samuels will be teaching two classes at Beach Scrapbooks on Sunday, May 3rd to help celebrate National Scrapbook Day!

Nicole has been published many times in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, Scrapbooks Etc., and Simple Scrapbooks, and she is on the design teams for Studio Calico, Creative Café and Pink Paislee. You can find Nicole’s current work in the April 2009 Creating Keepsakes and April 2009 Scrapbooks Etc. magazines.

A former Virginia Beach resident, Nicole currently resides in Williamsburg with her husband and three sweet, playful and often LOUD children. Prior to her relocating, we were fortunate to have Nicole as an instructor at our store and we are so proud of her continued success in the field of scrapbooking.

New digital images from QK

Attention all Silhouette users...new digital designs are waiting for you! It's sort of a crazy mix this time...all kinds of Easter shapes (chocolate bunny, Easter basket, chick, jelly bean border), Spring shapes (trees, gardening tools, leaves, sun) and vinyl designs (jungle animals, sea creatures, paws, trees, flourish). LOTS of nice shapes :) My kids LOVED some of the fun ones, so we cut them out in vinyl and stuck them to their bedroom doors. (They HAD to have the bright green!) SO incredibly easy!

I'm back!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Have you missed me? I'm sorry I've MIA over the past few days. The weather this weekend was un-freaking-believable! So warm and toasty :) We spent most of our waking moments outside soaking up the fresh air. Then, on Monday, my son came down with what we thought was strep throat. After many tears and a late night visit to the ER, we were told it was a virus. Ugh. Tuesday was spent at home with a very clingy child (which was actually nice because those moments are becoming less frequent as he gets older!).

In between warm weather and a sick son, my daughter was on cloud 9 after losing TWO teeth over the weekend! The tooth fairy is going to need a loan soon as she has 4 other loose ones!

Anyway...I digress :)

This will be a quick update as I've had a migraine most of the day. Ugh...I HATE migraines. I'll post pictures later.

They look just like them. Except you shouldn't eat them. They are brads without the legs...and they're self adhesive. Whoever thought of these is a genuis ;-)

Hump Day kits available!

As you may notice, the Happy Hour part is gone from our logo. We did this intentionally as we are focusing more on a happy DAY as opposed to an HOUR (or two)!

For the past year, we have offered a time in the evening for you to join us while putting together a layout. The cost was $5, and we provided everything from the ideas to the glue. Many people were unable to come at night due to other commitments, so we decided to mix it up a bit. During the month of February, we offered two kits each Wednesday (still at $5) starting at 9 a.m.. This was a HUGE success. As some of you know, we were selling out of kits within the hour. Crazy!

As you can imagine, this presented a problem. A good problem, but a problem nonetheless.

So, our staff had a looong discussion about it. There were a lot of good ideas, but the one that seemed to be the best solution is stated below.

To all our kit-loving customers: we'd love to hear your feedback. Tell us what works, what doesn't work, and/or what would make your life easier. We are very open to suggestions!

Having said all that...here we go...

Every Wednesday in March, there will be ONE kit for sale. We will be making MORE of that kit than in previous weeks, so hopefully there will be kits available throughout the day. The kits are still $5.
